Sanitary Cities and the SENSEable City (Full Version)
This video presents the full talk “Sanitary Cities and the SENSEable City,” by Lab Team member Carlo Ratti, director of MIT’s SENSEable City Lab. Carlo discusses the fact that now, for the first time in history, the structures people build can speak back to them with information on how to improve things. The information provided in this way effectively creates a “real-time control system” that allows designers, engineers, and regular individuals to more effectively engage with their environment. Carlo describes how this new capacity can be leveraged to realize change in urban centers.
