This compilation of videos and short films explores today’s DIY culture and the various forms of modern artisanship and craftsmanship. The films portray people making things, from toys to knitted decorations and furniture. The program also looks at technological innovations, investigates how they are made and used, and shows innovative people who have come up with some great solutions for everyday life.

Diese Video- und Kurzfilm-Kompilation erforscht die zeitgenössische Kultur des Selbermachens (engl. DIY culture - „Do it yourself“) und die verschiedenen Formen modernen Kunstgewerbes und moderner Handwerkskunst. Der Film porträtiert Bastler, die Spielzeuge, handgestrickte Accessoires und Möbelstücke herstellen. Die Zusammenstellung des Programms orientiert sich darüber hinaus an technischen Errungenschaften, untersucht wie diese hergestellt und benutzt werden und stellt innovative Menschen vor, die immer eine zündende Idee für alltägliche Probleme und Situationen parat haben.
