The Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum invites children ages 9 to 14 to join this workshop in which recyclable materials will be used to create puppets. Led by professional puppeteer Meena Naik, participants will discuss traditional communities in the city, their roles from past to present, and the figures they include, such as movie stars, bus conductors, cricketers, dabbawalas, and doctors. Participants will then make puppets that represent those and other urban figures in contemporary Mumbai society.
The session will conclude with a presentation incorporating all the puppets created during the workshop.
